â–º Swervedriver headlines the Roxy Theatre behind “I Wasn’t Born to Lose You,” their first album in 17 years. Opening for the U.K rockers on their American tour are young L.A. band Gateway Drugs, who just released their debut album “Magick Spells.”
â–º New Orleans’ Galactic bring their jammy funk-rock-electronic sound to the El Rey Theatre, where Kung Fu opens.
â–º New Zealand duo Broods plays the Fonda Theatre behind their album “Evergreen,” with Mikky Ekko supporting.
â–º Eleanor Friedberger (who’s put out two solo albums since Fiery Furnaces went on hiatus), visits the Echo, supported by Cotillon and Icewater.
â–º L.A. quartet Dorothy bring their vintage hard rock to the Satellite, supported by Rainbow Jackson and Charming Liars.
â–º At the Bootleg HiHi, it’s a night of indie-pop with Leland, Frankie and Verre.
â–º And Jail Weddings holds it down at La Cita, supported by Manhattan Murder Mystery.
