Happy FYF Fest Day:

‣ FYF Fest, the annual summer festival curated by Sean Carlson, kicks off the first of two days at the LA Sports Arena & Expo Park. Today’s lineup features: Phoenix, Interpol, Julian Casablancas, Grimes, Little Dragon, Caribou, Future Islands, Tycho, Slint, Against Me!, Albert Hammond, Jr., Real Estate, Run the Jewels, Ty Segall, Boris, Man Man, XXYYXX, Joyce Manor, Chet Faker and Mariachi El Bronx. ‣ The Beatles’ 50th is celebrated at the Hollywood Bowl, with Dave Stewart as the musical director and featured guests including Vanessa Amorosi, Michelle Branch, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mary Lambert, Martina McBride and Liv Warfield.
‣ If you’re looking for free outdoor performances, then Banta at the One Colorado stage in Pasadena is one option.
‣ BadBadNotGood at the Getty Center is another option. They perform as part of the Saturdays Off the 405 series.
