Las Cafeteras and Chicano Batman team up for an evening of free music at the Figat7th Downtown Festival.
‣ Cuban son superstars Conjunto Chappotín y Sus Estrellas play the free Sunset Concerts series at the the Skirball Center, which is installing a dance floor in the courtyard especially for the event.
Echo & the Bunnymen visit the Orpheum Theatre behind their new album “Meteorites,” their 12th full-length.
‣ Kevin Barnes (of Of Montreal) performs at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, with Nedelle Torrisi opening.
‣ Brooklyn indie-rockers Miniature Tigers, back with a new album “Cruel Runnings,” headline the Echo, supported by the Griswolds and Finish Ticket.
The Janks headline the Satellite, and the Lonely Wild have been announced as a surprise guest on a night that also features the Diamond Light.
‣ And Afternoons raises their voices at the Bootleg HiFi, supported by Gabriel Hart, Honey Child and Manhattan Murder Mystery.
