A jam-packed Friday night for you:

‣ Folk-rocker Jonathan Wilson and garage-rockers Mystic Braves kick off six consecutive Friday nights of free shows at the Fig at 7th Downtown Festival. the Shows go off on the plaza on the top level of the DTLA retail center.
Susanna Hoffs headlines the Satellite, where she’ll be joined by Fred Armisen [pictured with Hoffs above] and Petra Haden – and, Hoffs just announced earlier this week, her Bangles bandmate Vicki Peterson.
‣ Chop and Quench: The Fela! Band – members of the cast and band of “Fela! The Musical,” led by Sahr Ngaujah, play the free Grand Performances at California Plaza.
‣ Old-school rules apply – the Masters of Ceremony hoip-hop reunion tour tour brings live performances from the likes of DMX, EPMD, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Special Ed, Biz Markie, Naughty By Nature and more to the Nokia Theatre.
‣ And a different set of old-school rules apply here – People Under the Stairs headline the Troubadour behind May’s release of their 12th album, “12 Step Program.” The show also features Dam-Funk and Aceyalone.
‣ And Pennywise lands at the House of Blues Sunset Strip for the first of two nights behind their new album “yesterdays.”
