Who: Title Fight at the Mojave Tent
In 3 or Fewer Words: Melodic hardcore champs
Memorable Because: Pennsylvania punks Title Fight brought the energy of old hardcore to Coachella, albeit in a more palatable format for the pop-punk crowd. Scream like an emo kid, sting like a Jawbreaker lyric. (They’re right at home on SideOneDummy Records.) Flurries of jabbing guitar licks, brutal body blows from the drum kit, and dizzying lyrical uppercuts kept the crowd on their toes. Not a knockout set, and a little one-note, but winners by points in a 10-round brawl.
