KCSNnew-large copyUpdate: My Presidents’ Day Weekend edition of the L.A. Buzz Bands Show will feature not one but two premieres of songs from eagerly anticipated local releases. Kicking off the show will be a new song from Fool’s Gold, who’ve been hard at work on their third album and have a show Saturday night at the Satellite. And shortly thereafter, I’ll have a fresh tune from the forthcoming EP by indie-rock quintet James Supercave. And  there’s more. Tune into KCSN (88.5 FM, streaming at KCSN.org) at 9 p.m. for new songs from the New Division, Rod Melancon, Caught a Ghost and Monte Mar – as well as tunes from soon-to-arrive releases by NO, Silversun Pickups, Run River North and Bootstraps. Along with tunes from Wildcat! Wildcat! (playing the Echoplex on Friday night) and Blondfire, it’s going to make for a pretty scrumptious hour of local music. Join me, won’t you?
