Above: That’s Body Language‘s video for “Just Because.” The Brooklyn-based electro trio stops by the Satellite on Thursday in support of their new album “Grammar” (out now via Lavish Habits and Om Records). Local electro-pop outfit DWNTWN supports.

Our staff picks of the week:

@KRBronson recommends: The debut EP from Kan Wakan will be out this fall, and this weekend’s Chinatown Moon Festival offers the chance to see the L.A. septet in a special setting. Also playing the local music stage at the free, all-ages event on Saturday night will be the Little Ones, Body Parts, Avid Dancer, Northern American, Victory and Black Hi-Lighter. I’ll be the one getting my photo taken with the statue of Bruce Lee.

@Seraphina_L recommends: If you’re looking for the next star to come out of the famous Brit School, then King Krule is your guy. He’s only 19, but this red-headed electro-soul-darkwave artist has two sold-out shows at the Echo on Tuesday and Wednesday. Seeing if they have any extra tickets may be a good call. Ratking opens on Tuesday, and Holy Sh*t! supports on Wednesday.
