@KRBronson recommends: It would be so easy here to recommend either of the National shows (the Greek, then Hollywood Forever Cemetery), or Grizzly Bear at Hollywood Forever. Slam dunks, they are. But here is where I implore you see Medicine’s first show in 18 years, Sunday at the Echo. The L.A. shoegazers never quite got their due back in the day, but Brad Laner, Beth Campbell and Jim Goodall have reunited to release “To the Happy Few.” The ’90s Medicine releases continue to influence this generation of noise-pop bands, and it will be special to hear them roar again.

@Seraphina_L recommends: Lorde at the Echoplex on Thursday. The 16-year-old pop sensation from New Zealand, who has produced her own international hits such as “Royals” and “Tennis Courts,” makes her L.A. debut. Until the Ribbon Breaks also does a DJ set.
