Happy Tuesday:

‣ His Purple Majesty, Prince, and 3rd Eye Girl play Grove of Anaheim.
Kurt Vile & the Violators stops by the Echoplex in support of his latest album “Wakin on a Pretty Daze.” [That’s Vile’s video for “Never Run Away” above.] San Francisco’s the Fresh & Onlys and New York’s Steve Gunn round out the bill.
‣ Folk singer-songwriter Laura Stevenson plays upstairs at the Echo in support of her newly-released album ‘Wheel.” [Check out “L-DOPA] and Brooklyn dream-pop outfit Field Mouse opens.
yOya kicks off their West Coast tour at the Satellite [Check out “I’ll be the Fire”]. Cerebral psych-folk quintet Young Hunting helps out [check out “Baby’s First Steps”] as does Oakland’s Ash Reiter.
‣ British singer-songwriter Tom Odell headlines the Troubadour with songs off of his “Songs From Another Love” EP, but here’s a hunch that he’ll also play songs off of his forthcoming U.S. debut “Long Way Down.” L.A.’s very own Cillie Barnes supports.
‣ And Rainbow Jackson start their residency over at the Central SAPC; they share this week’s roster with LA Font, John Wayne Bro and Hobart W. Fink.
