Video: Unknown Mortal Orchestra, ‘So Good at Being in Trouble’

Last time we took note of an Unknown Mortal Orchestra music video, it was because of its kooky Wes Anderson vibe. This time, the video for “So Good at Being in Trouble” involves “McLovin'” wearing pantyhose on his head and smashing things with a baseball bat. Although the Venice Beach-based clip perfectly illustrates the psychedelia of UMO, there was bound to be a crazed heartbroken character in there somewhere with an R&B melody at the heart of the song. Along with Chris Mintz-Plasse of “Superbad,” the clip also stars director Ruban Nielson, who is known for his extensive work with Animal Collective and Black Dice. “//” is out now via Jagjaguwar.
