Quirky pop comes and goes, but it’s refreshing for a band to make you actually feel the sugary onomatopoeia the genre gets its name from. If you’re looking for a Shins-lite kind of band with a Paul Simon twist, Cambridge, Mass.,-based duo You Won’t are available to provide your next summer soundtrack. Josh Arnoudse and Raky Sastri are pros when it comes to the fine line between musicianship and high-spirited playfulness, and their melodies will stick in your head for days. Their debut LP “Skeptic Goodbye” (out now on Old Flame Records) is full of songs that sway, bounce and cavort with tunes like the guitar-pop single “Three Car Garage.” Directed by the band in conjunction with Ewen Wright (together they are Cool Cat Productions), the wacky semi-stop animation video for the track isn’t too far off from their lighthearted musical characteristics as it takes one through Michel Gondry-like revelries.
