Tonight in L.A.: Yelle, Races, Vanaprasta/Empires, Fun, Pigeon John, Little Hurricane, Hi Ho Silver Oh

It’s just not fair that there’s this much to do on a Monday:

Yelle make up the Thursday show the French dance-pop trio postponed (they were delayed by visa problems) by holding forth at the Wiltern tonight.
Races celebrate the release of their “Big Broom” EP tonight, playing the support slot for Chain Gang of 1974’s residency at the Echo, The night kicks off with O.C.’s Polaris at Noon.
‣ Didn’t think the first week of Vanaprasta’s was explosive enough? (You’re in the minority.) For Week 2, Chicago quartet Empires supports. That’s their video for “Bang,” above. Twilight Sleep and Outernational also join in. Before their Satellite show Empires play an in-store at Origami Vinyl.
Fun [catch their track featuring Janelle Monae] play a sold-out gig at the Troubadour, with Captain Cuts opening.
‣ San Diego’s Little Hurricane continues its Bootleg Theater residency, with fellow San Diegans (and L.A. favorites) the Silent Comedy closing out the night. Terraplane Sun and Jack & White open.
