dustinkensrueEven when he’s not backed by his band Thrice, O.C.’s Dustin Kensrue [pictured] has some pretty formidable songwriting chops, as he displayed on his solo album “Please Come Home,” released two years ago this month. Kensrue gets top billing on a tour called “Where’s the Band?” – which features the frontmen of four rock bands going it by themselves. Kensrue, along with Matt Pryor of the Get Up Kids, Chris Conley of Saves the Day and Anthony Raneri of Bayside, hits the Troubadour tonight. … The Rumble LA rumbles back into the 3 Clubs for its monthly show, with Aushua, Chasing Kings and Cat Party rocking the intimate space. … Elsewhere, it’s celebration time: The Stevenson Ranch Davidians celebrate the release of their sophomore album “Life & Death” at Spaceland (joined by the Quarter After and Miranda Lee Richards); Links mark the release of their second EP “Echo Dogs” at the Echo (with Mississippi Man and Rumspringa); and Yours Til Death plays the Silverlake Lounge behind its new debut EP “Delivered.” … Also: The Happy Hollows at the Mint; Living Things and the Tender Box as part of the Viper Room’s “10 Days of 2010;” Jay Nash and Nina Storey at the Hotel Cafe; and Seducing Alice at the Roxy.
